Sean Nicholson, (pictured above right), Economic and Community Development Manager at Cherbourg Aboriginal Shire Council (ASC) talked about their latest acquisition of SurePact software. “We look forward to a successful business relationship with SurePact and are very happy with their advice, willingness to listen and incorporate some of our ideas into the program. Thanks Megan and the SurePactTeam – awesome job”.

Situated 250km north-west of Brisbane just off the Bunya Highway, Cherbourg Aboriginal Shire Council is an active and forward-thinking Council who source a portion of their capital growth income from subsidies and grants.

Sean went on to say, “Over the past few years, we have been involved in, and completed, well over a 100 small and large scale development projects in Cherbourg. Due to the demands of these projects we have decided to invest in the SurePact software as our project load is reasonably large going forward and delayed due to Covid19. We look forward to improved risk analysis, stakeholder communication, budget control and asset management application. We realise there is a lot of upfront work in loading the projects and we are working through that now. It is a work in progress bringing all stakeholders up to speed with the software over the next 9-12 months which we plan to do.

So far so good – the software is helping us to comply with legislation and teaching more staff some of the intricacies of project management, we are also able to report on each project virtually anywhere so Council is informed of progress per project, or per project cluster.”

The SurePact team are looking forward to a long and prosperous relationship with Cherbourg ASC. SurePact CEO, Megan Avard said, “Cherbourg ASC is a progressive Council, with a strong leadership team, who are passionate about seeking opportunity to evolve their technology capability to provide stronger probity for both the community and Council, thus future-proofing their growth”.
